Project Narrative:
The original structure was built before 1907 although there were old newspapers with that date buried in the walls. The existing residence lies within the Scenic Resource District of Sonoma County so the goal of this project was to nestle the addition into the hillside to reduce the massing as seen from the street. Existing landscaping was augmented with new to screen the addition from the street further de-emphasizing the size of the project. |
