Project Narrative:
The original structure was built in 1911 and was once the neighborhood grocery store with the upper floors being the living quarters. Previous owners’ turned the structure into illegal living units. We then transformed the structure into a single family residence with a stately two-story front porch and balcony at the front and a deck and carport at the rear. |

Special Feature:
The new kitchen was located at the midpoint of the floor plan which happened to be adjacent to a neighboring residence. In order to maximize light and privacy, small operable windows were incorporated into the design at the backsplash area just above the countertop. The additional daylight washes over the countertop thereby increasing the luminosity of the room. |
