Project Narrative:
The original structure was built in the early 1900’s and featured a compartmentalized floor plan typical of the era. The goal of this project was to open up the floor plan to create a more useful kitchen to better serve a growing family. Included in the design was a large island with a down-draft cook-top and a small sewing area with views to the back yard. |

Special Feature:
The remodeled kitchen incorporated an island with an oven that had a downdraft ventilation system. This system not only minimized the visual affect that a typical hood would have had in the small space but also allowed for ample counter space around the island. |
