Project Narrative:

 

The original garage, built in the 1920’s and on the same property as the principal residence currently on the National Register of Historic Places, was in such a state of disrepair that the only thing that could be done was to tear it down and rebuild it in a way that was significantly similar to what we interpreted as the original design.  The new garage is located in the Oakhill-Brewster Historic District.

Special Feature:

 

The new garage adjoined a small garden and presented a unique opportunity to incorporate a small attached room at the rear of the garage to include materials and supplies necessary in tending to the garden.  The room included its own covered entry, work area, work bench and slop sink.
