Project Narrative:

The original bathroom exemplified the prototypical 1970’s ranch style bathroom with the space broken up by lots of compartment walls which ultimately made the space feel smaller than what it actually was.  The goal of this project was to open up the plan and increase the spaciousness of the room.  We achieved this by positioning the cabinets forward in the space as you enter the room and installing a large glass shower enclosure toward the rear of the space allowing the reflections of the glass to act as a mirror.  We also incorporated the existing vinyl window into the shower enclosure to increase the room depth as well.  Lastly, by lowering the shower floor 2” we extended the wall plane to the rear of the shower instead of it typically terminating at the shower door/raised shower threshold.
